Fitness Expert Denise Austin uses a stability ball to strengthen your core, build lean, fat burning-muscle.
Denise Austin: Hit the Spot – Core Complete promises a more sculpted body, with "flatter abs, sculpted arms, leaner legs and firmer buns."
The DVD has four complete workouts that exercise and tone the entire body:
Warm-up – the 5-minute routine get you physically and mentally revved up for a whole-body exercise.
Core & Upper body – the 15-minute "calorie blasting" exercise trims your waistline, firms the chest, shoulders and arms.
Core & Legs – the 15-minute workout sculpts the legs, thighs, hips and calves and core.
Core & Buns – lifts and firms the buns.
Core Complete Challenge – the last routine is an 18-minute, full-body exercise that’s supposed to "pack a powerful punch."
What’s good about Core Complete is that you can mix up the routines to suit your needs. Also, each routine gives their targeted body parts a really good workout. Like for instance, if you mix core & buns with core & legs, you’ll get a really good abs and lower body exercise. Another plus is (particularly for this combo) is that the instructor, Denise Austin varies the intensity level, so you’re sure to get a really good workout.
What’s not so good about this workout video though is that the Denise Austin, though she’s a really good instructor, sometimes isn’t in-sync with either the beat (of the music) or her own counting. Plus, the voice, over-the-top enthusiasm and non-stop talk can be a bit distracting.
Plus, some of the routines require exercise equipment which means additional costs.
But overall, if you’re looking to get a good whole-body workout, this one’s for you.
