Handling Your Stress

Being cooped up in your office for eight hours and sitting in front of the computer for most of these hours doesn’t exactly spell a healthy lifestyle.

One of the most important things to keep down aside from your blood pressure is your stress level. It’s better said than done especially in today’s rat race but getting the next promotion isn’t an incentive for your health to get shot.

Stress is easy enough to manage if you have the right frame of mind. Think of other things that are more important than the problem your stressing over like say world peace.

Write the things you stress about and think of how infinitely small it is compared to global warming. Of course trying not to stress about the bigger problems is a whole different thing.

Keeping oneself fit is a problem for all the lazy bums out there. Getting a gym membership isn’t the same thing as actually going to the gym and using said membership. Let’s face it working out isn’t exactly a terribly exciting prospect. Sure there’s your health and looking good but does anyone really like putting your body through all that torture? Well except for the fitness freaks but they’re freaks anyway.

Trying alternative ways of exercise would help you keep to the regimen. Belly dancing or maybe rock climbing for those bored with the usual cardio exercises. Or for the real adrenaline rush crossing a busy street and playing tag with your life. Heck if you really don’t want to go to the gym they do say that sex burns more calories than running.

Stress doesn’t have to break you down. What’s the use of earning all that money if you can’t spend it yourself? Keep your stress level down. Eat right and stay fit and maybe with the world as it is you just might see world peace.
