People who wish to stay slim and healthy need to watch what they eat. Aside from simply trying to choose what foods to eat, people should also know that there are also eating styles that may unknowingly cause them to gain weight as well. Here are just some of the more common ones:
Weekend Binge Eating
Some people might be quite careful with what they eat during the weekdays or while at work. But all these sometimes go out the window by the coming weekends. There are people who seem to forget their diet plans during Saturdays and Sundays and seem to eat their fill. The reason might sometimes be that people put it upon themselves to be rewarded by eating what they like during the weekends. Another is that it can be quite difficult for others to just resist not eating more during the weekends after putting themselves into five days of resistance to eating what they like.
There are people who seem to be quite capable of eating well and not gain weight under normal circumstances. But just when they feel stressed out, they seem to find solace and comfort in eating more. Stress, or rather too much of it, can easily make most people eat more. This can be an eating style that piles up on the pounds faster as the stressors in life increase.
Most people might tend to believe that anything that they drink, no matter how much, won’t pack up the pounds on their body. But this can be a myth. Liquid dieting can’t always be effective if one drinks more and more of some stuff rather than eating it. One possible error in this type of dieting is that even the calories that people drink can be stored by the body if it is more than what the body needs. An even worse problem in terms of weight gain through this eating style is that liquids are more easily absorbed by the body and they pass through the digestive system faster. This tends to make people drink more and more before they feel satiated.
