Coenzyme Q10, also known as CoQ10, is an essential compound that is produced by the human body necessary for normal cell functioning. It has since become a popular supplement known to offer a variety of benefits ranging from alleviating certain heart problems to cancers.

Primary Function

The primary role that Coenzyme Q10 plays in the body has to do with its energy generating functions. CoQ10 is used by the body in order to transform food into ATP or adenosine triphosphate, the compound that the body uses for energy.
