Is Liporvarin an Effective Weight Loss Supplement?

Lipovarin is an over-the-counter diet pill which claims to let you eat whatever you want and still lose weight.

It has become really popular among people who want to lose a few pounds. But does it really help you lose weight?

What’s in lipovarin?

Lipovarin contains caffeine, glucuronolactone, and taurine. Mood boosters that are contained in "Red Bull." Caffeine is a known stimulant. There is evidence suggesting that high doses of taurine lowers blood pressure doses in hypertensive individuals. However, there is no evidence that either taurine or glucuronolactone has any effect on metabolic rate or weight loss.

Lipovarin also contains:

Coral calcium – there is however, no evidence that calcium has any effect on weight loss.

Metabromine – a stimulant that comes from cocoa; metabromine may also have a positive on mood and possibly metabolism, perhaps due to its xanthine and biogenic-amines content.

Carnitine – an amino acid which aids in the burning of fatty acids in the mitochondria. It is generally found to be ineffective for anything under 2000mg. Carnitine may also provide some cardiovascular health benefits.

Serotain – serotain contains 5-HTP which is commonly used to treat mild depression. 5-HTP can increase serotonin levels and influence mood, and there is some evidence that may have an effect on appetite. But these results were achieved using 10 times the amount of active ingredient found in Lipovarin.

Green tea extract – green tea a powerful antioxidant which is known to provide various positive effects on health. It also a glucose moderator, and has also be shown to increase metabolic rate more than its level of caffeine content. However, one study found that green tea only provides a 4 percent in crease in 24-hour energy expenditure, which is equal to only 100 calories a day for most people.

7-Keto – it is a metabolite of DHEA. 7-ketos shows promising results with its positive effect on the thyroid hormones. According to Fat Loss Revealed (where the control group lost 0.57% of their bodyweight, and the group on 7-keto lost 1.8% – about 6 lbs on average) author Will Brinks, says 7-keto is a potentially promising weight loss agent.

Synepherine and Ephedrine

Citrus aurantium is standardized for synephrine, supposedly a milder version of ephedrine. Synephrine supposedly contained all the calorie burning properties of ephedrine minus the side-effects. Unfortunately, synephrine still has same health risks as ephedrine, including seizure, stroke and heart attack. And while ephedrine-containing products have been removed from the market years ago, diet pill manufacturers substitute synephrine in the products that used to contain ephedrine.

Lipovarin does elevate mood but and gives you a boost energy while on a diet – but it is no miracle worker.
