Eating Well As You Get Older

Focus on good carbohydrates

For your source of good carbs, turn to whole grains such as whole wheat bread, brown rice, and barley. Avoid refined "white" products such as white rice, white bread, or products made with white flour.

Raw fruits and vegetables

Eat at least one daily serving or fruits or vegetables raw. This way, you get all the nutrients in them. Plus, it’s a good way to prevent constipation. Raw fruits and vegetables are packed with vitamins, minerals, and enzymes to aid digestion.
