Flat Belly Food

These are ingredients that contain monounsaturated fatty acids, candidly called MUFAs. MUFAs are good fats and they protect you from chronic disease, and much more, help you lose fat.

A serving of these food at every meal would help reduce the accumulation of belly fat and control calorie intake. A portion contains high levels of MUFA and a serving suggestion is only about 400 calories. This is enough to control hunger and be energized without going on a feeding frenzy.

Although they are the central ingredients in the flat belly diet, you can still enjoy MUFA-rich food individually. Here are five flat belly food you have to try.

Oils – a tablespoon of MUFA oil could go far. You could enjoy stir-fried dishes in sesame oil, peanut oil, or canola oil. You can pan-fry in walnut or olive oil. Pesto has a lot of uses as a sandwich spread or as an added flavor for soups, grilled food, rice, and pasta. You can cook using safflower oil, soybean oil, and sunflower oil, while you could add flaxseed oil in salad dressings.

Nuts and Seeds – go nuts with almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, peanuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, pine nuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, sesame seed paste, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. You could consume them either solo or as nut butter with crackers, bread, or fruit. Eat them as a snack, add it on salad, or have them as toppings for fish and chicken. You could also use nut butters to add flavor in soups. Two tablespoons a pop would do.

Avocado – slice and serve with salad or some other entree. You could mix it with lime juice, salt, pepper, and serve with chips. Or you could chop a fourth-cup and put it in with salsa.

Olives – serve ten large green or black olives as a snack, sprinkling them on pizzas, salads, and pastas. Spread two tablespoons of tapenade on crackers or sandwiches or stuff it into chicken breasts or fish fillets.

Chocolate – would you believe that the number one cause of tooth decay and pimples everywhere actually is healthy for you if taken in moderation, like one-fourth of a cup? Enjoy dark chocolate chips, shavings, or chunks any way you like.
