Kim Kardashian is best known for her, ahem, ample rear. And that, I guess, is her inspiration for coming out with a video. No, not that kind of video – an exercise video; an exercise DVD that aims to shape your curves, with an emphasis on the booty of course.
A sexy booty is necessary to look great in your jeans – so this workout says – but a nice rear should be complemented by a great top.
The Amazing Abs Body Sculpt defines the abs and burns calories using isolation techniques from instructor Jennifer Galardi.
This workout routine aims to "tighten tone and accentuate curves."
The first exercise is a cardio workout that centers on the core, arms, hams and balance.
The second exercise teaches proper breathing, and includes pushups and stair runners.
The third exercise called "No Pooch Pull" is basically hip lifts with plank holds which trims the tummy and improves posture.
I didn’t know what to expect, since it features Kim Kardashian who is of the Paris Hilton ilk. That said, surprise, surprise, it’s actually a workout, and I’m glad Jennifer Galardi made sure her routine thoroughly works each body part out.
On the downside, I think Kim Kardashian’s costume is completely unnecessary, and so are the long face shots of her.
I never liked her spoiled brat act and I don’t need it in my workout DVD.
Another downer is that Galardi and Kim Kardashian do not make smooth transitions from one workout to the next. They get right to the next routine before cueing the switch.
Over all, it’s a fun, intermediate level workout.
