wellness coachA wellness coach is a personal trainer who trains and helps people become healthy. While others focus on exercise, a wellness coach focuses on the needs of his or her clients.

Wellness coach goes beyond the personal training a trainer may offer; they give advice and guidance to meet the client’s needs. Building rapport with the client means trying to know them well beyond what you see in them.

Wellness coach says; you get to know what are the habits of your clients, making it easier for you to find out how you can help them. Further, you get to work with people of different ages, especially with seniors, teens, and even kids.

What makes a wellness coach different from a personal trainer is that they have to know what the client needs.  This will help them determine the things that they can offer to them. These are the things that the wellness coach must do in relation to their client’s needs.

The good thing about being a wellness coach is that you do not get to have a certain education in order to qualify. But of course, you need to get yourself certified.

To help their clients, a wellness coach must be knowledgeable in:

  • Nutrition
  • Fitness
  • Stress reduction
  • Health risk management
  • Hindrances in meeting fitness goals
