Perricone Prescription Diet

Here’s a diet that may not only help you slim down, it may also help you look younger. Celebrities like Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City’s Samantha) and Courtney Cox-Arquette (Monica in Friends) reportedly swear by the Perricone Prescription.

Created by dermatologist Dr. Nicholas Perricone, the diet is based on the principle that some foods cause inflammation and water retention. These two cause swelling that, in turn, causes wrinkles, acne and other skin and medical problems. Cutting out foods that are high in sugar and saturated fats for instance, may help get rid of your wrinkles, enhance metabolism and help you lose weight.

Dr. Perricone says bad food choices are "directly responsible for wrinkles, degenerative diseases, and accelerated aging."
