Baby Food Diet

baby foodHas the diet fanatics of Hollywood gone bonkers?  The latest dieting trend that has captured the hearts of several A-list celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and even some of the Desperate Housewives, comes in little jars of pureed food.

The gist

Some people thought that baby food, consisting of mashed fruits and vegetables kept in small jars, can help you lose weight quicker.  Because babies’ digestive system is so sensitive, many baby foods do not contain added fats, fillers, and other additives.

Meanwhile, organic baby foods take a step by not including genetically-modified ingredients, growth hormones, and antibiotics into its products.  There are no specific guidelines that have been crated yet for The Baby Food Diet, but its requirements include either eating baby food the entire day, or eating one adult dish and baby food for the rest of the day.

Advantages

Because most baby food comes from natural fruits and vegetables, you can be assured of its freshness and natural goodness, not to mention the vitamins you can get from it.

Additionally, baby food comes in small glass jars, which helps in controlling your cravings and avoid the temptation to overeat.  Many selections of baby food are also gluten-free, which is recommended for those undergoing a gluten diet.

Disadvantages

However, because baby food comes in small jars, some people may not control their binging habit.  Also, many baby foods available taste bland, and since eating them involves very little chewing, satiety may not be achieved.
